CLEAN YOUR STRINGS REGULARLY

To maintain the excellent tone and response quality of all strings, please regularly remove any rosin residue from the bows of the strings. It is advisable to rub off the rosin residue with a dry, soft cloth during breaks in the game. After playing, please regularly clean the strings thoroughly with string cleaner. The liquid contains alcohol and should under no circumstances come into contact with the paint on your instrument. Use the cleaner sparingly; a drop on the cloth is enough. When cleaning the strings, protect the instrument with a clean and dry cloth that should be placed between the strings and the fingerboard and, if possible, cover the entire instrument. After cleaning the strings, please do not touch the instrument’s paint again until you have washed your hands.

To increase the durability of the strings, you can also apply some string oil to the grip area. Please use sparingly – a few drops on a cloth are completely sufficient.

The Pirastro Peg Compound is great for pegs that slip or are too stiff due to issues with wood or climate/temp changes.

To apply peg compound, remove the string from the peg, and slide the peg out of the scroll. Apply a small amount of peg compound to the part of the peg that contacts the scroll and reinsert the peg. Turn the peg a few times to make sure it turns smoothly. Wipe off any excess peg compound before restringing the peg.
