I buy this violin and i received on 1 may 2025.
First of all they packed very good, shock absorb material on the inside of the case to protect the violin, on the outside parcel, Fragile poster here and there, Violin case are pretty good too. Excellent.
My honest review.
1) Wood: Feel solid, no plywood or laminated wood im sure. Very smooth on the neck.
2) Fittings: Pegs, Fingerboard, Chinrest, Endpin are Ebony. Tail piece and fine tunner are plastic but fine tunner screw are metal. Don’t really care if tail piece are metal or plastic. Tunning violin on pegs & fine tunner are very smooth and also hold tunning very well.
3) Measurements: String spacing on the Nut & Bridge are little bit wider compare to average measurement. But my finger size fit very well i.e i have less chance on pressing another string while im playing.
4) Varnish : it is less shiny, scrap off varnish here and there, very unique. Love it alot, it reminds me that good amount of affords has been put on on making the violin.
4) Sound : Powerful sharp sound, let put like this, sound Sharp like a knife. Less warm, resonate evenly on every string. For me love the sound alot, powerful sharp sound that can stab the audience heart. Hehe.
Those who read my honest review, I highly recommend you to buy Maya violin, you will not regret.
